 புகைபிடித்தல் உடல் நலத்திற்கு தீங்கானது.

 எனக்குத் தெரிய ரெண்டு கேஸ், நான் பேச்சலர்ஸ் படிக்கும்போது எங்க நட்பு வட்டத்தில் நல்ல பையன்னா அவந்தான். சிகரெட் கெடையாது, தண்ணி கெடையாது. ஆனால் காலப்போக்கில் அவன் அல்கஹாலிக் ஆகி, போய் சேர்ந்துட்டான். ஒரு சிலர் கன்னாபின்னானு குடிக்கு அடிமையாகி விடுவார்கள் என்பதற்கு இவன் ஒரு நல்ல உதாரணம். இதுபோல் ஒரு சிலர் இப்படி குடிக்காரனாகி குடிக்கு அடிமையாவதால் குடி குடியைக் கெடுக்கும்னு சொல்லியிருக்காங்க. ஆனால் நம்ம இப்போ வெஸ்டர்ன் சிவிலைசேசன் தொடர்வதால் குடிக்கிறதெல்லாம் கெட்ட பழக்கமா?னு கேலி செய்ற அளவுக்கு வந்து நிக்கிது. 

இன்னொரு நண்பன் மாஸ்டர்ஸ் பண்ணும்போது நல்லாத் தெரியும். சிகரெட்டை தொடவே மாட்டான். இப்போ என்னடானா ஒரு நாளைக்கு 50 சிகரெட் குடிக்க ஆரம்பிச்சுட்டான். இது மிகைப்படுத்தல் இல்லை. உனக்கு எப்படி 50 சிகரெட் புகைக்க நேரம் இருக்கும்? ஒரு சில நேரம் நான் அடக்க முடியாமல் கேட்டு இருக்கேன். இதுபோல் கேள்வியால் அவனை ஹர்ட் பண்ணியதுபோக வேற எதுவும் சாதிக்க முடியவில்லை.

நான் வாழ்க்கையில் கற்றது என்னனா, இந்த உலகில் நீங்க ஒரே ஒரு ஆளைத்தான் கண்ட்ரோல் செய்ய முடியும். அப்பா, அம்மா, நண்பர்கள், தோழிகள், பெற்ற குழந்தைகள், காதலி, மனைவி, யாரையுமே நீங்க கண்ட்ரோல் செய்ய முடியாது, அந்த ஒருவர் யாருனா..நீங்க மட்டும்தான்.

 என்னை மட்டும்தான் நான் கண்ட்ரோல் செய்ய முடியும். ஒரு சிலருக்கு ப்யூப்பிள் ஸ்கில்ஸ் இருக்கும், யாரையும் மாற்றிவிடுவார்கள்னு சொல்லுவாங்க. அதிலெல்லாம் எனக்கு நம்பிக்கை இல்லை. You can only control yourself. It is as simple as that! நீங்க நான் சொல்வதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளனும்னு இல்லை. You may be a different kind of person!
